How can I link my SPG account and China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles’ account in order to register for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
Starting 15 December 2016, if you are an active SPG® Member and are an active China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles’ member, you may link your SPG member account and your China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles’ account to participate in the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme through spg.com/easternexplorerrewards or easternmiles.ceair.com/easternexplorerrewards.
Can I opt out of the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme at any time?
Yes. If you have linked your SPG account and ‘Eastern Miles’ account to participate in the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme, you may opt out of the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme at any time by calling the SPG Customer Contact Center.If you choose to opt back into Eastern Explorer Rewards at a later time, you can do so by registering for Eastern Explorer Rewards through spg.com/easternexplorerewards or easternmiles.ceair.com/easternexplorerrewards. It takes 72 hours for the termination to be effective so if you want to opt back into Eastern Explorer Rewards you cannot do so until at least 72 hours after you have opted out.
Is there a limit to the number of times that I can unlink/opt out and then back into the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
Yes. Members of the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme may opt out of the programme at any time but they may only opt back into the programme once.
Who is eligible to link his or her SPG account and ‘Eastern Miles’ account for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
An active SPG Member who has an active China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles’ account registered by the same individual is eligible to register for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme, except for members who (1) are registered for the SPG Airline Direct Deposit℠ (ADD) programme with any airline; or (2) have an SPG Employee-level account. Only one SPG account per registered name and email address can be linked to one ‘Eastern Miles’ account per registered name and address and only one ‘Eastern Miles’ account per registered name and address can be linked to one SPG account per registered name and address.
I am currently not an SPG Platinum or Gold elite member or an ‘Eastern Miles’ Platinum, Gold or Silver member. Can I still link my accounts to participate in the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
Yes, as long as you are an active SPG Member and have an active China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles’ account, you are eligible to link your accounts (starting 15 December 2016) to participate in the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme unless you (1) are registered for the SPG Airline Direct Deposit (ADD) programme with any airline; or (2) have an SPG Employee-level account.
Does linking my SPG account and ‘Eastern Miles’ account for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme keep my SPG account from becoming Inactive?

I tried to link my SPG account and my ‘Eastern Miles’ account to participate in the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme through spg.com/easternexplorerrewards but have been unable to link my accounts. What do I do?
Starting 15 December 2016, if your attempt to link your accounts to participate in the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme through spg.com/easternexplorereewards fails, the website provided you with a reason (e.g., you are not eligible to participate in the program or you are already registered for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme). Please contact the SPG Customer Contact Center to resolve the problem based on the message you received.
Can I register for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme if I am enrolled in the SPG Airline Direct Deposit (ADD) programme?
No. SPG Members who are opted-in to the Airline Direct Deposit programme cannot register for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme. To deactivate ADD, an SPG member must call the SPG Customer Contact Center or select to opt out as a part of the process of linking his or her SPG account and ‘Eastern Miles’ account.
Can I register for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme if I am registered for Crossover Rewards or Your World Rewards?
Yes. An SPG Member can register for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme, Crossover Rewards and Your World Rewards, but must elect whether he/she wants to earn China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles Points’, Emirates Skywards Miles or miles in the Delta SkyMiles program for Stays at SPG Participating Hotels by visiting spg.com/myairlinepartner . The programme that is elected by an SPG Member at the time that a Stay is posted to his/her SPG Program account will govern whether China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles Points’, Emirates Skywards Miles or miles in the Delta SkyMiles program are awarded for that Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel. An SPG Member may switch his/her preferred bonus currency at any time.
How do I change my miles earning preference if I am enrolled in Crossover Rewards, Your World Rewards and the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
An SPG Member can change his/her earning preference by visiting spg.com/myairlinepartner . An SPG Member may switch his/her preferred bonus currency at any time.
What benefits do I receive if I am registered for Crossover Rewards or Your World Rewards in addition to the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
An SPG Member who is an SPG Platinum or Gold elite member and meets the eligible criteria will receive bonus Starpoints when flying on eligible China Eastern, Delta and Emirates flights. In addition, an SPG Member who is an SPG Platinum elite member will receive the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme in-airport benefits when flying with China Eastern Airlines, Crossover Rewards in-airport benefits when flying with Delta Air Lines and Your World Rewards benefits when flying with Emirates.
If I am an elite member with multiple airlines (China Eastern, Delta, Emirates), do I earn double or triple bonus miles when staying with SPG?
No. An SPG Member who also is an elite member of more than one of the ‘Eastern Miles’ programme, the Emirates Skywards program and the Delta SkyMiles program will need to elect whether he/she wants to earn China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles Points’, Emirates Skywards Miles or miles in the Delta SkyMiles program for Stays at SPG Participating Hotels by visiting spg.com/myairlinepartner .
