You'll earn Eastern Miles when you stay with SPG, Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards Participating Properties and earn points when you fly with Emirates. That's in addition to the rewards you already earn through these programmes.

Effective August 18, 2018, the Marriott Rewards Program, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards Program, and the SPG Program will keep their separate names for the time being but will function as one program (the “Marriott Loyalty Program”) operating under the same terms and conditions.
To the extent that terms are capitalized in these Eastern Explorer Rewards FAQs, the terms have the meanings specified in the Marriott Loyalty Program Rules or the China Eastern Programme Rules, as applicable. Can I opt out of the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme at any time?
Yes. If you have linked your Marriott Loyalty Program account and ‘Eastern Miles’ account to participate in the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme, you may opt out of the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme at any time by calling the Marriott Loyalty Program Customer Engagement Center
Is there a limit to the number of times that I can unlink/opt out and then back into the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
Yes. Members of the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme may opt out of the programme at any time but they may only opt back into the programme once.
Who is eligible to link his or her Marriott Loyalty Program account and ‘Eastern Miles’ account for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
An active Marriott Loyalty Program Member who has an active China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles’ account registered by the same individual is eligible to register for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme, except for members who have a Marriott Loyalty Program Associate-level account. Only one Marriott Loyalty Program account per registered name and email address can be linked to one ‘Eastern Miles’ account per registered name and address and only one ‘Eastern Miles’ account per registered name and address can be linked to one Marriott Loyalty Program account per registered name and address.
Does linking my SPG account and ‘Eastern Miles’ account for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme keep my SPG account from becoming Inactive?
No. Please see the Terms and Conditions of the SPG Program to determine ways that you may keep your SPG account from becoming inactive.
I tried to link my SPG account and my ‘Eastern Miles’ account to participate in the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme through spg.com/easternexplorerrewards but have been unable to link my accounts. What do I do?
Starting 15 December 2016, if your attempt to link your accounts to participate in the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme through spg.com/easternexplorereewards fails, the website provided you with a reason (e.g., you are not eligible to participate in the program or you are already registered for the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme). Please contact the SPG Customer Contact Center to resolve the problem based on the message you received.
How do I change my miles earning preference if I am enrolled in Your World Rewards and the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
A Marriott Loyalty Program Member can change his/her earning preference by contacting the Customer Engagement Centre. A Marriott Loyalty Program Member may switch his/her preferred bonus currency at any time.
What benefits do I receive if I am registered for Your World Rewards in addition to the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme?
A Marriott Loyalty Program Member who is a Marriott Loyalty Program Platinum Elite, Platinum Premier Elite, Platinum Premier Elite with Ambassador or Gold Elite member and meets the eligible criteria will receive bonus points when flying on eligible China Eastern and Emirates flights. In addition, a Marriott Loyalty Program Member who is a Marriott Loyalty Program Platinum Premier Elite or Platinum Premier Elite with Ambassador Member will receive the Eastern Explorer Rewards programme in-airport benefits when flying with China Eastern Airlines and Your World Rewards benefits when flying with Emirates.
If I am an elite member with multiple airlines (China Eastern and Emirates), do I earn double or triple bonus miles when staying at Marriott Loyalty Program Participating Properties?
No. A Marriott Loyalty Program Member who also is an elite member of both the ‘Eastern Miles’ programme and the Emirates Skywards program will need to elect whether he/she wants to earn China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles Points’ or Emirates Skywards Miles miles for Stays at Marriott Loyalty Program Participating Properties by contacting the Customer Engagement Centre. The programme that is elected by a Marriott Loyalty Program Member at the time that a Stay is posted to his/her Marriott Loyalty Program account will govern whether China Eastern ‘Eastern Miles Points’ or Emirates Skywards Miles are awarded for that Stay at a Marriott Loyalty Program Participating Property. A Marriott Loyalty Program member may switch his/her preferred bonus currency at any time.
Do any China Eastern flights count toward earning elite membership status in the Marriott Loyalty Program?
