The Eastern Explorer Rewards Program initiated jointly by Marriott Bonvoy (which replaced Starwood Preferred Guest) and Eastern Miles will expire at 24:00 on May 26th, 2019 Beijing Standard Time. Members of Eastern Explorer Rewards can continue to enjoy the rights and benefits under the program from now till the program expires.


Our partnership with China Eastern does not end here, Marriott Bonvoy members will continue to earn China Eastern Miles by completing qualified stays or through Marriott Bonvoy Rewarding Events at participating properties; Marriott Bonvoy members will also still be able to convert their Marriott Bonvoy points to China Eastern, in each case, subject to terms and conditions.

Marriott Bonvoy™ Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite Members will receive three points for every four 'Eastern Miles Points' on China Eastern flights.


Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite Members will also enjoy in-airport benefit, including:


  • Access to business-class check-in counter
  • Priority luggage handling
  • Access to the China Eastern business-class lounge
  • Complimentary checked luggage (either one piece of luggage or a total of 20kg among all pieces of luggage)
  • Guaranteed reservation booking (without the ability to be bumped from the flight) as long as the reservation is made 72 hours prior to the applicable flight
  • Priority waitlist and standby for free cabin upgrades, if available.
